Content description
Spinoza's capital work, in the French translation of Raoul Lantzenberg. Set out "in the geometric manner", with definitions, axioms, propositions and demonstrations, the Ethics is divided into five books: of God; of the nature and origin of the mind; of the origin and nature of the affects; of human bondage or the strength of the affects; and of the power of the intellect or human freedom. The volume adds a life of Spinoza, a preface, notes and an extensive analytical table of subjects.
