First volume (of two) of Joseph Conrad's El rescate (The Rescue), in the translation by Marco-Aurelio Galindo for Montaner y Simón. A novel set in the Malay Archipelago, centred on Captain Tom Lingard and his brig, amid loyalties, intrigues and the rescue of shipwrecked Europeans. This volume contains the first part, «El hombre y el bergantín», and ends with «FIN DEL TOMO PRIMERO».
